Terms of Service
Last updated: review and set this date before launch.
This is a starting template, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it and fill in the bracketed details (company, governing law) before launch.
What this service does
We connect homeowners with independent, local service providers. We are a connection service— we do not perform, supervise, warrant, or guarantee any provider's work. When you submit a request, we share it with one local provider so they can contact you.
No warranty on provider work
Providers are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. We do not control and are not responsible for the quality, safety, timing, legality, licensing, or outcome of any work. Any agreement for services is solely between you and the provider. The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Licensing & insurance
We do not independently verify every provider's licensing or insurance unless stated. Confirm a provider's credentials, license, and insurance directly before hiring them.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information in your request.
- Only submit a request for yourself or with authorization, and consent to being contacted by a local provider about it.
- Deal directly and in good faith with the provider you're connected with.
Providers
Providers receive leads on a subscription basis and agree to contact customers promptly and professionally, to honor opt-out requests, and not to misuse or resell customer information.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any provider. [Add a liability cap and governing-law/venue clause appropriate to your jurisdiction.]
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the updated terms.
